Phytosanitary measures
Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture (ÚKZÚZ) orders phytosanitary measures such as regulations or procedures, established as a matter of urgency in a new or unexpected phytosanitary situation.
Emergency measures are ordered according to paragraph 76 (2) of Act No. 326/2004 Coll., on phytosanitary care and on amendments to certain related acts, as amended, to individually designated natural or legal persons or by the so-called ÚKZÚZ regulation to an unspecified number of natural or legal persons. These regulations are promulgated by their publication in the Collection of legal regulations of territorial self-governing units and some administrative authorities. They shall also be published without delay on the website of ÚKZÚZ and, where appropriate, also, in the regional or national press and mentioned in radio or television broadcasts.
The Regulation shall usually come into force at the beginning of the fifteenth day following the day of its promulgation, unless otherwise provided. Exceptionally, if the general interest so requires, an earlier commencement of its entry into force may be provided for, but not before the beginning of the day following the date of its promulgation.
Previously promulgated phytosanitary measures are also valid in the form of a "Regulation of the State Phytosanitary Administration".
